Some of our readers using a VPN reported us having an issue when using Google.com search engine. While just trying to access Google by directly writing Google URL or using the search function of their browser the following message appears:

… but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.
Why Google is displaying to you the “We’re sorry…” message
Google is actually detecting that you are connecting from a network with many computer using the same ip address. There might be someone at the same time using your vpn in order to send automatic queries to Google (also called scrapping) which results in Google blocking temporary the search to the IP you are using and sharing with others users.
- How to avoid this message
The best solution is to temporary change the gateway you are using, you will also change ip in the meantime. Otherwise, you can just ignore the issue and input the captcha into Google captcha box (shown below)
